Bon Voyage!

This morning was your typical gray New York day…but it wasn’t raining. I called Jim and we met at the Rockefeller Observation Deck. The tickets up to the top are probably one of the best investments I’ve made yet. Anyone living in or visiting New York must see the city from this angle as some point. You can literally see everything and it’s not touristy like the Empire State Building where you’re in line getting pushed and herded around – people linger and sit to take in the view. The footage we grabbed will help save any transitions that we struggle with in post production.

We headed back to the apartment and then the fates decided we needed to repeat our travel experience. Our car service was over an hour late. Normally we would have just found another option, but there was so much equipment, I had arranged a van to drive us. We arrived at the airport too late to check bags. Again, an amazing Virgin America staff member took most of my crew through security and got them on the plane. Sean and I stayed behind with all the luggage…until the next flight the next morning! I tell ya, I’m gonna need a vacation from my vacation!
